Nervous? What to Expect
Feeling nervous about boudoir is totally normal when thinking about doing a session. Unless you have spent a lot of time in front of the camera, most people feel a little intimidated. However, nerves generally go away in the first five minutes! I do everything possible to make you feel relaxed and comfortable before and during your session. Here is what you can expect the day of your shoot.
Upon Arriving
Your session will take place in the privacy of my 3000 sq ft home, located on a cul-de-sac in Tualatin. There is plenty of on street parking in front of the house or feel free to park in the driveway. When you arrive, we will get your things in then get you settled in the main shooting room and the bathroom that is exclusively for your use. Next you'll slip on a silky robe and my amazing makeup artist will be ready to start on your hair and makeup. A light breakfast of croissants, fruit and chocolate will be laid out for you to snack on. (Gluten free available) I'll pour you a glass of champagne or mimosa if you would like or feel free to bring your own beverage. There will always be filtered still water and Pellegrino available. Only myself and the artist will be in the house. Once you are happy with the results, we’ll get started!
Getting Started
We begin by laying out your outfits, shoes and accessories. You can browse through my wardrobe of robes, jewelry and shoes and select anything you'd like to use. I generally chose an order to shoot your outfits, from the least revealing to the most. Once you have changed, we will get started shooting. There is no need to worry about “knowing” what to do. I will give you very easy and specific instructions to get you posed perfectly. Things like “bring your chin up a little”, “bring your right hand up and play with your hair”, and “glance down at the bed”. It quickly becomes very easy even though you may feel a little awkward at first. I will always ask you if it is ok to adjust your hair, straps etc. If you would prefer to make adjustments yourself, that’s just fine too. Your comfort is the most important thing.
Poses
The poses that we do are pretty, sexy and sensual plus some flirty and fun! I don't do the more graphic, sexual poses (you know the ones I mean!) unless you request them. They can look amazing, but it has to be the right fit for your comfort level. If you are ever uncomfortable with a pose, you only need to say. If you have ideas of poses you’d like to do, just let me know! The amount of skin you want to show is completely up to you also. We can do some topless, nude or implied nude (where you have a sheet covering you, etc) if you would like. You’ll probably find once you get started that it’s a lot easier than you thought!
Finishing Up
Once we are done, you can change back into your street clothes and get all of your things packed up. I will have started downloading and preparing your photos for you to view. That takes about an hour and a half, so you can leave if you'd like and go to Starbucks (2 minutes away), grab a quick bite to eat locally, or do a quick shopping trip (Ulta, Home Goods, Michaels, Old Navy, Freddies & Best Buy are all close by). You can also relax at Mademoiselle's sipping a beverage and checking out the different products and albums.
Viewing & Ordering
Once the photos are all ready, you will get to view them all on a large monitor. We will go through each one and narrow it down to all of your favorites. We'll talk about the retouching that you would like as well. All of the different products will be available for you to choose from, along with frame and album samples so you can customize your order.
Once you have selected everything you would like, you can choose to pay for your order that day, or take advantage of my no interest payment options with a minimum 25% deposit. Then you are on your way to enjoy the rest of your day!
Receiving your Order
Once you have placed your order and it's paid in full, I will get to work on retouching all of your favorite photos. If you have ordered an album or calendar, I will send you a proof for you to approve before it is printed. I will also send you a downloadable gallery of all of your purchased files.
Once your order is ready, you can come and pick it up from me or some items can be sent directly to you.
